Crown Lengthening

  • Your smile is the first thing most people will notice! Your smile is framed by your gums. In some people, there may be excess gum tissue covering the natural teeth giving them the appearance of a “gummy smile”. In other cases, some people may have uneven or asymmetrical gum lines. At ZCYW, our specialist can help correct all this by carefully reshaping the gums to enhance and broaden your smile.
  • Crown lengthening may also be done to repair your tooth that is decayed, broken below the gum line or has insufficient tooth structure for a restoration, such as a crown or bridge. Crown lengthening will adjust the gum and bone level to expose more of the tooth, effectively making the tooth taller, so that the tooth can be restored and maintained.
