Bone Grafting

  • Regardless of the cause, when you lose a tooth, you may experience bone loss in your jawbone over time. In order to replace a missing tooth with dental implants, there has to be sufficient bone density and volume for successful implant placement and healing. To achieve this, bone grafting is procedure that is done to preserve the natural bone contours. Often times, the bone graft is completed at the time of extraction, in order to successfully prepare the site for a future implant.
